Axeten Launches Frontline OSINT Course: Safe and Lawful Social Media Checks

Axeten Ltd has launched its new Frontline OSINT Course, designed to teach personnel across private sector, public authorities, and third sector organisations how to conduct safe, lawful social media checks in compliance with current legislation.

The 2 modules training of 3 hours each, delivered over two weeks, addresses a critical need: the days of "just taking a quick look" at someone's social media are over. With legal processes now mandatory, organisations require proper training to avoid compromising investigations or breaching regulations.

Tailored Training for Different Sectors

For the private sector, the course equips KYC/CDD professionals, claims handlers, and HR departments with the skills to verify the probity of clients and claimants whilst maintaining operational security and legal compliance.

For public authorities, including Trading Standards, Housing Tenancy, Gangmasters, Food Standards, and frontline Police Officers, the course provides specialised training in conducting lawful Internet Intelligence (III) investigations.

For the third sector, charities and voluntary organisations can train their safeguarding and compliance teams to conduct proper social media checks when needed.

All participants learn to optimise social media platform searches across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn, and when to escalate cases to dedicated OSINT practitioners.

No previous experience is required. The course costs £199 + VAT per delegate and is accredited by The CPD Group. Next courses commence 20 January 2026 and 17 March 2026.
