A Classroom Course over 3 Days for Private and Closed Groups. The OSINT Refresher has 6 Modules.

This course is for OSINT practitioners that might have got into a rut, using the same limited set of processing techniques in their investigations. It is well suited for returners and self taught investigators, but it is not appropriate for beginners.

The training will bring you up to speed with the GDPR which affects every investigation and the OSINT capabilities that are well established, but where the processing techniques might have changed and developed.

If you have not had any OSINT since Facebook deprecated the graph search and TikTok gained traction, this course is for you!

A Classroom OSINT Training (COT) course.

Each module of the open source intelligence course includes two items of training material.

1. A Help Notes & Links file in PDF. One for each module.
The pages correlate to the slides presented in the COT, with step-by-step process descriptions and links to all of the online resources covered in the module.
Trainees do not spend any time taking notes. All the notes they will ever need a provided. Trainees can focus on the training.

2. The training is not recorded. However, after the training, video recordings of each module from a recent LOT-X-R can be requested. Never miss a thing with the video recordings from an Axeten Live Online Training.

Course Code Class: COT-P-R

CPD Credits: 24 Hours

Privacy legislation in other jurisdictions that is similar to the GDPR might apply to OSINT practitioners in any jurisdiction & practicalities of creating and maintaining Synthetic Identities that not only keep the practitioner safe, but expedite processing activity and increase productivity. Well created and maintained SIs make work much more easy and less stressful.

Google Dorks and other advanced search queries including other types of search-engines with their limitations & capabilities with a focus on safe processing.

Module 3: Processing Images, files, emails, phone numbers & IP addresses - Day 2

Processing the meta data of digital files and the file content to locate intelligence that might be in plain sight or intentionally hidden & processing of smartphone apps with a browser version or an emulator.

Processing e-mails, phone numbers IP addresses, domain names and other digital assets to locate and identify people.

Module 4: Social Media Platforms Part 1 - Day 2

Processing users and the content they publish on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media platforms.

Module 5: Social Media Platforms Part 2 - Day 3

Processing users and the still and moving images (videos) content they publish on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and other image sharing platforms.

Module 6: Safe processing - Positive Identification of a Subject - Day 3

Thinking it's 'probably the right person, because so much info seems to fit', is never good enough. For an investigation to proceed lawfully, the subject must be identified positively.

This module covers many of the techniques and resources covered in modules 2 - 5 that allow for a positive identification & an introduction to Data Breach.
