This course is for OSINT practitioners that might have got into a rut, using the same limited set of processing techniques in their investigations.
The training will bring you up to speed with the GDPR which affects every investigation and the OSINT capabilities that are well established, but where the processing techniques might have changed and developed.
If you have not had any OSINT since Facebook deprecated the graph search and TikTok gained traction, this course is for you!
The OSINT Updates course introduces, explains and demonstrates, live and online, well established techniques and resources that make up the extensive attack surface available to the OSINT practitioner.
The practitioner will have acquired the capability to deploy a wide selection of OSINT techniques.
The GDPR and similar legislation in other jurisdictions and the implications for all OSINT processing.
Privacy legislation in other jurisdictions that is similar to the GDPR might apply to OSINT practitioners in any jurisdiction & practicalities of creating and maintaining Synthetic Identities that not only keep the practitioner safe, but expedite processing activity and increase productivity. Well created and maintained SIs make work much more easy and less stressful.
Google Dorks and other advanced search queries including other types of search-engines with their limitations & capabilities with a focus on safe processing.
Processing the meta data of digital files and the file content to locate intelligence that might be in plain sight or intentionally hidden & processing of smartphone apps with a browser version or an emulator.
Processing e-mails, phone numbers IP addresses, domain names and other digital assets to locate and identify people.
Processing users and the content they publish on Instagram, X (Twitter), Threads, LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
Processing users and the still and moving images (videos) content they publish on Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and other image sharing platforms.
Thinking it's 'probably the right person, because so much info seems to fit', is never good enough. For an investigation to proceed lawfully, the subject must be identified positively.
This module covers many of the techniques and resources covered in modules 2 - 5 that allow for a positive identification & an introduction to Data Breach.
